Co-Op and condo Retrofit
New York City Buildings make up two-thirds of greenhouse gas emissions.
In 2019, Local Law 97 was passed as part of New York City’s Green New Deal. This will require buildings over 25,000 square feet to meet new carbon caps, with certain benchmarks in 2024 and 2030, until 100% carbon reduction is achieved by 2050.
While living in a building with many shareholders and tenants, It may seem impossible to logistically and financially meet these goals in order to avoid fines.
I provide consultation services on:
What is required by Local Law 97
How might your building achieve it
What can individual tenants do
Certain federal and city tax incentives and programs to support your retrofit
Logistical retrofit planning
